Karen Smith joined CODE4Five in 2018, but her involvement with home health started many years ago. She has been learning and teaching about OASIS since its inception. Karen has played many parts as a home health case manager, staff educator, diagnosis/OASIS coder, and clinical supervisor, but the best is being a QA for Code4Five!  In this role, she can educate home health clients as well as play her favorite game of “Find the Best Codes”. To keep sane in the wild world of home health, she spends time in the beautiful outdoors of her Idaho home, or volunteering at the local animal shelter.​
